About Yuuguu
Yuuguu (from the Japanese word for fusion) was founded by Anish Kapoor and Philip Hemsted after becoming frustrated by working together remotely and not being able to see and share each other’s computer screens in real time.
Recognising the changing world of work, Yuuguu came about as a solution to help people work together remotely, through any firewall, across different platforms, with as many colleagues as needed, just as if they were sat right next to each other.
But Yuuguu's vision stretches far beyond the world of work. Yuuguu's unique, easy to install features can give anybody the freedom to be together, whether at work or play, even when they’re not.

Anish Kapoor
CEO and Co-Founder
Anish was co-founder of TeleCity PLC, the pioneering European collocation and data centre service provider. He is currently NXD for Jacamar, an online gaming infrastructure provider and a NXD for Xware, a mobile gaming software developer. In addition he has held various executive roles at EXML Systems a mobile software applications developer.
Chris Sewart
Technical Director
Chris is an experienced software developer for telecoms, multi-media and enterprise applications. He has served in a variety of development roles at BT and OU and senior development roles at Nortel Networks and Macro 4, where he led teams of developers on new projects. He is skilled in a variety of software development languages and tools.
David Scowsill
Non Executive Chairman
David has an extensive global travel, leisure and private equity background, allied to broad retail and online experience. He is Non Executive Director at On the Beach Holidays. Previously David served as interim Sales Director easyJet airlines; CEO Opodo, the online travel company; CEO Minit Group; SVP and Director Hilton Hotels; Director British Airways and MD American Airlines.
Alastair Walmsley
Director of Finance
Alastair Walmsley is a Chartered Accountant with a broad range of financial experience at main board level in both listed and private equity backed companies.
Alastair trained with Coopers & Lybrand (now part of PwC) in Manchester and has worked with several businesses as director and advisor. He has led several financing initiatives, as well as developing financial systems, controls and reporting procedures which allow businesses to rapidly expand.
