Contacts you want to work with regularly on Yuuguu can be added to your Contacts List. These contacts appear in the main view of the Yuuguu Desktop Application, where you can see who's around, share screens and control their computer with just a click or two.
Yuuguu has a few different ways of doing this, so we provided a wizard to help. In the Contacts View, Click on Find Contacts to bring it up.
The first option lets you type, or copy-and-paste lists of email addresses into a text field.
On Windows computers using outlook, Yuuguu can read your Outlook address book
Existing Google or Yahoo mail users can use Yuuguu to log in to their mail account and read your contacts list from there. We need your username and password for this, but it is not passed to or stored on Yuuguu servers. The Desktop Application simply logs in to your mail account as you from your computer, reads your addresses, then logs out.
Import email addresses using the popular comma separated file format '.csv'. Many email applications, and spreadsheets can export email addresses in this way. You can easily create one yourself if you wish.
Users of popular chat networks like Google Talk and MSN can link to their contacts in those accounts easily.
Once you have your list of email addresses, the next page lets you give them friendly nicknames for your display. Yuuguu will suggest ones based on the email address, but you can change them.
The next step involves Yuuguu connecting you up to your contacts. There are two ways we do this
Some of your contacts could be signed up to Yuuguu already. These contacts will have a red Yuuguu icon next to their names.
Yuuguu simply adds these contacts in to your contact list.
They will get a notification that you have added them.
They can accept or decline your request.
Connecting with contacts not signed up to Yuuguu involves our Invite Process. We send them an email containing a personal note from you, a download link, and some help on what to do next. Once they download, install and sign up, each of you will appear on each others contact lists.
