Screen shots of Google Mail and Google Talk integrationYuuguu has launched two kinds of integration with Google services that expand users’ ability to use its remote collaboration tools with a wider network of contacts. First, Yuuguu’s screen-sharing and control features can be used with users of Google Mail and Google Talk – Google’s instant messaging service – without them having to join Yuuguu or download the application. Second, Yuuguu has made it simple for you to invite your Google Mail contacts to join the Yuuguu network and add those people that are already Yuuguu users to your Yuuguu contacts list.

What is Google integration?

Yuuguu has made it easy for Yuuguu users to expand their network of contacts. By integrating Google Mail and Google Talk contacts with Yuuguu, they can share their screens, chat and work together without contacts having to change networks or sign up to Yuuguu.

How does it work?

Your contacts that use Gmail chat or Google Talk can now be contacted directly using Yuuguu without them having to join Yuuguu themselves. You can share screens, swap control and collaborate using the web share facility. Also, you can invite any Google contacts you like to join Yuuguu and use its remote collaboration features. Second, those contacts that are already Yuuguu users will be added instantly to your Yuuguu contacts list.

Do I need to download the latest version of Yuuguu?

Yes, but existing customers of Yuuguu are updated automatically to the latest version. New users can download the latest version at http://www.yuuguu.com/download.

What are the benefits?

Some contacts may not want to sign up to yet another network with another email and password to remember. With Google Mail and Google Talk integration, Yuuguu allows your contacts to stay in their chosen network but still expand their options for online communication.

Step-by-step guide to Google integration:

Joining the two platforms couldn’t be simpler.

Google integration1.    Open Yuuguu and select ‘Find Contacts’. This option allows you to connect over Yuuguu with the people you regularly email, any specific email addresses you choose and, now, users of Google Mail and Google Talk.

2.    Choose the ‘Link Instant Messaging Accounts with Yuuguu’ option. This brings up a new interface in which you can manage the IM accounts you want to integrate with Yuuguu.

3.    Select ‘Add Account’, choose Google Talk, enter your user name (Google Mail address) and password. That’s it. Now, you can continue to instantly chat with your Gmail chat and Google Talk contacts but also share your screen with them to work together on one document, as well as allow them to take control. You can also now link directly to low-cost and secure voice conference calling with up to 30 people. Contacts window

Anish Kapoor, founder and CEO of Yuuguu, says: “We have always been focused on building a service that integrates community, messaging and collaboration. By opening up our service to Google Talk IM network users, even more colleagues and friends can message and chat while they share screens for enhanced collaboration. “Typical IM clients don’t allow screen sharing and have limited collaboration capabilities and typical web conferencing and screen-sharing services have no presence or instant-messaging capabilities. We wanted to bring these features into one application to ensure that users see, chat and control from one simple interface.”
